Pierre Cordier
Well. This is sad, Mr Cordier died just a year ago. He was my main inspiration for my paintings/chemigrams. I really loved the way his paintings had layers of color deeper and seller, and the almost geode like look of those layers. In honor I wanted to look at why and how he discovered and created chemigrams. Apparently completely on accident for… love? Says he did it writing a dedication to a young german lady. Which is quite cute if i’m understanding it correctly. It’s so weird how one accident in life can completely change the trajectory of our entire future, he was so captivated by these that he decided to focus his life on them, and wow if I can’t say it was worth it, look at these gorgeous photos he created. I’m mostly inspired by the ones that go beyond his initial works and turn it into almost abstract paintings.
